Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
Reduce your risk of HIV by up to 99% with PrEP — available daily or on-demand.
What is PrEP?
PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a daily pill taken by HIV-negative people to prevent HIV infection. Studies show PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% when taken as prescribed. It is one of the most effective tools for HIV prevention available today.
Who Should Take PrEP?
PrEP may be right for you if: you have an HIV-positive partner, you have multiple sexual partners, you do not consistently use condoms, you have had a recent STD, or you have used PEP multiple times. Our doctors will assess your individual risk and recommend the best approach.
Daily vs On-Demand PrEP
Daily PrEP involves taking one pill every day. On-demand (event-driven) PrEP involves taking pills before and after sex according to a specific schedule. Both methods are highly effective when used correctly. Our team will help you choose the option that fits your lifestyle.
Getting Started
Your PrEP journey begins with a consultation, HIV and STD testing, kidney function tests, and a Hepatitis B screen. Once cleared, you will receive your PrEP prescription. Follow-up visits every 3 months include HIV testing, STD screening, and kidney monitoring.
